Ada B. Pozo

Ada Pozo is an aggressive trial lawyer and a former Miami Dade County Court Judge. During her years as a Judge, Ada presided over thousands of cases in the civil, criminal, and domestic violence divisions. She was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a mentor judge and was tapped to assist and educate judges new to the bench. She has lectured at judicial colleges and numerous legal seminars and conferences. She is certified by The Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit and Family Mediator.

As a trial attorney Ada has litigated thousands of cases. As a certified mediator she has assisted in the settlement of countless civil lawsuits. Prior to becoming an attorney, she also served as a Forensic Social Worker for Miami Dade County.

Ada Co-Hosts the Money Court, a CNBC primetime show which airs every Wednesday at 10pm EST. She is also a Radio personality. For years she could be heard every day as host of the SiriusXM radio show ACCESO LEGAL, which was broadcast as part of the network’s bilingual Cristina Radio channel. She is fluent in Spanish and has appeared as an expert legal analyst on numerous TV and radio networks in English and Spanish; including CNN, HLN, ABC, Fox News, Telemundo and Univision. Pozo is a partner in the Miami-based law firm Pozo Goldstein, LLP.

Her interest in fighting for the rights of others was probably pre-destined, as Ada comes from a long line of high-profile public servants. Her grandfather, Justo Luis Pozo, was the last man to serve as Mayor of Havana, Cuba prior to the government’s overthrow by Castro. Her father, Dr. Rolando Pozo, was the island nation’s last Surgeon General prior to Castro’s takeover. The family subsequently immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Florida, where Ada was born and raised.

Ada is married to Former Broward County Court Judge Eric M. Beller, and has two children, a daughter aged eighteen and a son, twenty-one. She holds both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Florida International University, where she majored in Criminal Justice (B.S.) and Sociology/Anthropology (B.A.). She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami. She is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where she has previously served on the board of directors.

When she’s not spending time with her family or fighting for justice, Pozo is training for and competing in Spartan Races. She is also an avid indoor cyclist.
